My role

As the Visual Communications Director for Windows + Devices, I delivered two presentations: the first as part of the Day One Keynote and the second during the Productivity General Session on Day Two covering security innovations, Windows 365 Cloud PCs, and AI-enhanced Windows productivity features. I collaborated closely with leaders across the company on script, directing and working alongside two visual designers to craft a cohesive story across four speakers, spanning over 150 slides which included videos, animations, and demos.

Microsoft Ignite

Windows highlighted security innovations, AI integration, and new Windows 365 Cloud PCs, enhancing productivity with AI-powered tools at Microsoft Ignite 2024. Geared toward developers, IT professionals, and partners, the event showcased advancements making Windows more secure, efficient, and innovative.

UX animations: Microsoft Windows Marketing

A major focus of mine for this event was the UI animations. Because Windows 11 introduced an entirely new visual and motion system, I often took a hands-on role in video editing to maintain quality, ensure clarity, and protect the integrity of unreleased features. At the same time, I served as the primary point of contact and creative director, coordinating across Windows UX designers and external creative agencies to deliver the extensive set of animations needed to showcase the new experience.

Each speaker’s environment was intentionally designed to reflect and amplify their key messages. Panos Panay, focused on the new design and UI of Windows 11, presented from a dynamic digital space that shifted in shape and color to mirror the OS’s new forms and textures. Carmen and Phillip, who demoed live coding scenarios, were placed in relatable environments—such as working from a home office or relaxing on a couch—to showcase real-world use cases in an authentic, accessible way.
