Microsoft Build

At Microsoft's Build 2023, Panos Panay led the Windows keynote, emphasizing the integration of AI into Windows 11. He and his team introduced ONNX Runtime for developers to tweak and bring their own AI models to Windows, showcased Windows Studio effects in apps like WhatsApp, and announced a new Windows AI library. The keynote highlighted opportunities for developers to leverage Windows Copilot, now known as Copilot, and AI plugins to enhance customer engagement and service.

My role

As Visual Communications Director, I worked closely with the Windows UX team to create background graphics featuring coding-inspired 3D shapes, adding texture and depth to visuals that were otherwise primarily logos and text. I directed and executed the final slide designs with support from the Microsoft events team, managed the demo animation workstream, and oversaw the production of partner testimony videos for WhatsApp, Camo, and Luminar Neo. Throughout the event production, I partnered with the Communications Director, product owners, and speakers to refine the narrative alongside the visuals, creating a well-timed, cohesive, and naturally flowing presentation.

Preview of Windows Copilot

This section featured animated Windows Copilot UI demonstrations that highlighted how Copilot helps users manage both simple and complex tasks, improving efficiency and the overall user experience. Animations were built using ProtoPie and Figma files provided by the Windows UX team, and I edited the final videos to align precisely with the presenter’s talk track.

Windows Dev Home & Windows 11 dev features

I directed and managed the Windows Dev Home and Windows 11 feature animations in collaboration with a creative agency and the Windows UX team. This included managing agency deliverables and coordinating with product and feature owners to ensure Figma files accurately reflected the intended customer experience.
